Electronic Arts learned the planned black tiger game and closed the developer Cliffharger Games, I learned IGN.
In an e -mail message sent to EA ENTERTAINMENT PRSEDENT LAURA MIELE, Miege said these changes, along with other cancellation and other hairstyles, “our focus is sharpened and our creative energy is placed behind the most important growth opportunities.”
In addition to closing Cliffhangir and canceling Black Panther, EA also removes some individuals in both portable and medium teams. When they were asked for an accurate number of affected individuals, EA refused to comment. IGN understands the total number of individuals affected in this wave less than the 300 roles that were reduced last month through fans care teams in Respawn and EA – but the amount cannot be emphasized.
“These decisions are difficult,” Millie wrote. “They influence the people we worked with, learned, and shared real moments with them. We are doing everything we can to support – including finding opportunities within EA, where we have succeeded in helping people decline in new roles.”
As with previous tours of workers’ layoffs, EA seeks to put affected individuals in other roles throughout the company. The company has benefited from this placement program with each round of layoffs in recent years, an effort that is still possible despite the continuous discounts in the team due to the apparent increase in the number of employees on the other teams at the same time. For all the reports of the game file, EA 800 used this year from what it was at the same time in 2024.
To this end, the Miege email continues, the company focuses on a small handful of the advancement privileges: Battlefield, The Sims, Skate and Apex Legends. You will also reassure the Miege, EA will continue to invest in the Iron Man game in Dovive and Thred Star Wars: Jedi Game, as well as keeping its mobile business despite the discounts today, while Bioware works on Mass Effect. In addition, last year, CEO Andrew Wilson announced that the company “will move away from developing the address licensed in the future and we do not think it will be successful in our changing field.”
EA EA SPORTS does not mention, but this is due to Miege Running E Enteintainment, while EA SPORTS is a separate section. IGN realizes that the sports section is not affected by these changes at the present time.
It is worth noting that the Marvel and EA agreement with Black Panther was part of a three -match deal that included Iron Man and Third, the undeclared. Only a few black tiger has appeared so far since its announcement in 2023, although we know from the list of jobs that it could have been one game, work skill, and open. Black Panther has been developed by the newly designed Cliffhangir games that were now formed in 2023 with some former developers in Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor and headed by Kevin Stephens.
These cuts come in the aftermath of several other tours of the demobilization and cancellation of EA over the past few years, especially in 2025. On only last month, EA recorded about 300 people, including about 100 people in Respawn, while canceling Titanfall during development and another nursery project. Earlier this year, EA restructured Bioware, transferred some developers to other projects and demobilized others. In 2024, there was a huge restructuring in EA, which led to 670 company workers, including about twenty workers in Respawn. In 2023, 50 jobs were cut in Bioware and an unknown number was cut in Codemasters.
Meanwhile, EA recently implemented the mandatory office to return to all workers, a step that told some employees that IGN has left many clubs currently to them with concerns about what will happen for their long -term roles.
When they are asked to comment on the affected accurate number, the reasons for these repeated cuts, or if more cuts are expected in the near future, EA referred to Miele’s email. Marvel did not respond after IGN request for comment.
