to update: Nintendo IGN has confirmed that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Advert is currently in Oxford Cerex in London incorrect, and the game still lacks the date of the official release.
“We can confirm that the message” going out now “in this announcement is incorrect,” said a spokesman for Nintendo. “Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is not yet available and an appointment to be released in 2025.”
IGN managed to verify that the advertisement remains at the station – as is detailed in our original report below.
The original story: A giant advertisement for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond at Oxford Circus Tube Station in London said that the game is now available, which sparked confusion from Nintendo fans in their morning transportation.
First, if you have seen the advertisement yourself, no – the current Heatwave wave in London did not dissolve your senses. The advertisement, which has now been monitored by many fans and assumed them personally by IGN employees, really says the game is “out now.”
Officially, Nintendo has not announced Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Record Date other than a mysterious promise that will be launched this year. But even if the game is not outside now, its appearance on an advertisement on this prominent site gives Nintendo fans that it hopes to be just around the corner.
“What idea why MP4 Beyond Ad says at London Underground” Out Now “? Orchndo admired Nintendo wrote on Radet. “I am really confused. Do they mean that switching 2 has come out? I hope the game has really come out despite haha.”
The fans speculated that the advertisement may be old – may initially plan Nintendo to launch Metroid Prime 4 now, and the formulation has not been updated? Instead, we can see a version of the advertisement that is not due until later, along with the date of the actual release of the game.
For other Nintendo fans, they were keen to play the game after many years of waiting, the advertisement raised a sudden release. However, this looks unlikely with the position of Donkey Kong Banza firmly as nicknamed nintendo next Big Switch 2.
As Rob Anderson, the great IGN trade editor, told me this morning, who reports the scene, the fully -like Cirio Oxford tube platform is one of Nintendo Switch 2 ads, with individual games panels like Super Mario Party Jamboree, Donkey Kong Banza and Switch 2 Sonsole themselves. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond’s Placement here, then, it appears only part of a broader promotional campaign – rather than a specific set of the individual game.
IGN Nintendo called to comment.

Now, a Gen’s cross address for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is finally set to get at some point in 2025 after a long development and events.
It was originally announced in 2017, the GameCube and Wii trilogy of Retro Studios were restarted in 2019, and the development was restarted by Retro Studios after a previous release in Bandai Namco in meeting Nintendo standards. After years, with Switch 2 in The Horizon, Nintendo finally gave the game the appropriate veil detection in June 2024.
On Switch 2, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will be run at 120 frames per second, and it offers optional controls that benefit from the Mouse-Con Mouse feature. It seems likely to reach a point between the launch of Donkey Kong Banza in July and Pokémon Legends: ZA arrival in October.
